Yummy Coffee
So I decided to stray from the usual post topic of crochet and share a fantastic recipe. The Love Chef was on television a couple of days ago, and shared his recipe for something that hits me in my favorites: coffee and chocolate. So here it is:
CHOCOLATE COFFEE AMARETTO
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup amaretto liqueur
5 tablespoons espresso roast coffee
4 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
4 cups water
Fresh lightly whipped cream
Serves 4
Mix the sugar and amaretto in the empty carafe of an automatic drip coffee maker, then brew the coffee in the usual way using the 5 tablespoons of espresso, 4 teaspoons of cocoa, and 4 cups of water.
Fill 4 glass coffee mugs and float a little whipped cream on top of each.

The picture is before the cream is added, but doesn't it look like a delicious way to start the day ? I plan on trying it very soon. Enjoy!

Groundhog Day
We have been getting bombarded by snow, and today on groundhog day it's ice rain. Good old Puxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow, so we supposedly will have an early spring. On all these days trapped in the house, I have been eating my fair share of Dunkin' Donuts creme delite, heart shaped doughnuts. They are my absolute favorite, but sorta like manna of the ancient Israelites: if you are greedy and gather more than you can eat in one day (like I did once when I bought two thinking I could save one for the next day), they are completely unedible. No, they don't putrify or get wormy, but they get rock hard and taste like greasy concrete. Including the wonderful cream center. One bad bite and I was convinced to quit my habit, at least for the time being. But I do still enjoy the coffee daily, and was inspired to make this cute earflap hat for my daughter,
(who was really sleepy when I took the pic.) based on the colors of good ol' Dunkin Donuts.

So...

Looks like starting a website is alot harder than I thought. Pictures and descriptions have to be just right, and then there's the small detail of needing a product to describe. I thought I had plenty of items to list, but it turns out I really don't. So then comes the small hiccup of having motivation. And time to create. But I'm working through it all, not quitting the day job, or main online presence, any time soon (meaning Etsy). So for now, here are some sweet hearts.

I think I've finally caught up on my lost sleep from the New Year, and it's time to write! I'm in the process of launching a new website for my wares, so be on the lookout for a fresh new look for Kissyface Kreations...

Here's a cute little hat I recently made up, in a warm cream color with a pearl centered flower. The special of the month is a BoGo, so hop on over and pick out a gift for that wonderful little one in your life and receive a second one for half price!

Snowflake
Happy first day of December! Winter is on its way, and to prove it, we got our first snowfall of the season last Thursday. So in commemoration I have made a little hat with a snowflake on the side in gray to match the color pallatte of the city on that day - and my daughter's little cardigan!
