So Excited!

My daughter HATES wearing shoes or socks, and so I was fiddling around one day and came up with a neat little crocheted anklet. She soon had one for every outfit (natch), and someone asked me to make one for her daughter. It never dawned on me to sell them in my Etsy shop, but after that day I did. I've had 7 orders for them so far and for the first time, I've made a sale outside of the U.S.! Kissyface Kreations has now gone international and I could not be more excited! (Yes, I celebrate the smallest accomplishments.) Pop over to my Etsy shop and check them out.

No-Hitter History

Some pics of my little girl's first Phillies game this summer.

An anklet I crocheted to match the outfit.

My first attempt at a brimmed hat. I'm much better at them now!

So you may have guessed by now that besides having the most squeezable, cheeky-licious baby and crocheting all kinds of things for her, I am a big Phillies fan. When I started this blog, I said I would keep the personal stuff to a minimum and focus on the crochet, but I just had to comment on the history that was made yesterday. For only the second time ever, there was a post season no hitter, and it was pitched by a man making his post-season debut. That's major! It may seem that all Philadelphia teams are underdogs, no matter how well they may be playing (last year 3 of the 4 major teams made it to postseason play). However, being four-time division champions, 2008 World Series champions with an appearance the following year combined with last night's no-hitter should show the world that the Phillies are more than just "contenders" and finally give Philadelphia sports the respect it deserves - and it only took 127 years.

It's That Time of Year Again

Autumn has officially hit the area. It's rainy, cold, and gets dark early, and what did I think of? Candy corn! Personally, I can't stand the stuff (way too sweet for me), but every time the calendar turns to October, it's the first thing that comes to mind. This year I gave my crochet hand to something new, a candy corn hat! I can't wait to get a cool outfit for my daughter to match it.

Go Phillies!

So anyone that follows baseball knows that the Phillies are the National League East Champions for the fourth time in a row! Being a huge fan, I've designed a headband and a hat for little ones that can be worn on those cooler game days, check them out!
